Master Course Outline

Each LSUA course has a Master Course Outline.  A Master Course Outline (MCO) of a course is a departmentally-created general outline of the course denoting minimal expectations.  The MCO contains the course number, name, hours, description, and objectives; topical outline; and general evaluation/assessment procedures.  Each section of a course must be taught under the direction of the MCO.  A faculty member may choose to teach additional material than that stated on the MCO, but they may not cover less than that stated on the MCO.  A syllabus for a course minimally should model the information provided on the MCO.
